Social Dilemma - Is Talking To Yourself Okay?

Okay today's social dilemma came about because of two different instances of people talking to themselves.  My friend Kevin, who works down the hall, got caught over the weekend by a buddy of his talking to himself.  They were out to dinner, Kevin had said goodbye to his friends, and as he was walking to his car, he started talking to himself.  He didn't realize it, but a friend was behind him and caught him.  He was mocked for it, but they both laughed and that was that.  I get caught talking to myself fairly regularly.  I always do it when I'm alone.  However sometime you're not as alone as you think you are, and sometimes because I do it so much, I'll do it in the department store or grocery store.....like I did on Sunday.  There I was in the bread aisle, looking for a particular kind of roll that I love and I start talking outloud about the color of the bag and why I love them so much, and then I realize, there are several people around me.  One of them even asked if I was talking to them.  I told them I was talking to myself and they gave me a crooked smile and off they went.  I feel like I do this more and more.  But it often helps me work things out or find things.  I don't mind so much if someone catches me, but they seem to think I'm nuts.  I told Kevin, it's not a big deal, but he was embarrassed.  So what do you think?  Should I be embarrassed about talking to myself and getting caught like Kevin is, or is it no big deal.  I tend to think no big deal, but just wanted to make sure I'm not alone in this.  Let me know what you think at the 98-3 TRY Facebook page
