Biography
A female trio from St. Louis comprised of Barbara Cosby, Pat Ewing, and Dorothy Ewing who released "Lonely Girl" b/w "I Believed the Man Loved Me" on the local Teek Records in the late '60s, the single was a huge local hit that's still played on St. Louis' oldie stations. They cut an album (supposedly), but you can't find a trace of it; a career highlight was opening for Smokey Robinson & the Miracles when the Motowners played St. Louis. Cosby sung in a family gospel group, the Crosby Singers, and a secular group, Barbara Cosby and the Comets, before the Petites. She married Charles Carr and signed with Chess Records for a few singles after the group disbanded.
