Biography
A short-lived group from Cleveland, OH, who wowed 'em at talent shows and P.O.C. (Portland Outwaithe Center) functions before cutting their only record. Marlene was the charismatic Marlene Caldwell who had an affinity for horse riding and dressing in chic riding attire complete with the high boots. The other member was Sharon and an unnamed woman. A deal with Carl Maduri's Sunburst Records resulted in the single "Play Something Slow" b/w "Bad Love" in 1965. The record didn't move despite appearances by the trio at venues like the Circle Theater and the WHK Auditorium and they soon disbanded for more mainstream endeavors. A shame because Marlene would have played the superstar thing to the hilt and would have been a real live diva.
