Though they had been collaborating within the Buenos Aires garage rock scene for nearly a decade, it wasn't until 2001 that David, Juan, and Dario adopted the Tandooris handle. They made an immediate splash, playing Argentina's ~BA Stomp rock festival in 2002 and contributing that same year (along with los Peyotes, Elio & Thee Horribles, and Supersonics) to the 7" EP "South American Teenage Garage Punk," issued through Barcelona's Butterfly Records. The Tandooris made their full-length debut the following year with Walking Blind (No Fun). By that time, Marcelo Perez had joined the band on second guitar. A second No Fun LP, entitled Science Fiction Guaranteed, appeared in 2004.
