About Jaime
Born and bred here in the Capital Region, and happy to still live within five miles of my childhood home in North Greenbush. I am the proud aunt of Gabrielle, Dominique, Robbie, Bridget, Kateri, Victoria, James, Olivia and little JR, the newest edition to the family! I am happiest when I get to spend as much time as possible with them. I am also a certified pet lover, with three cats, Ollie, Mokie and Lil' Bit, and one dog....Freckles! ***NEW ADDITION*** Since our other dog Tak went to heaven, we decided it was time to add to the family, so we have welcomed Leo to our home. Leo is a cockapoo puppy, and he's a handful. I promise pictures soon!!
Spending time with family and friends is number one on my list of favorite leisure activities. I also enjoy movies, reading a good mystery, swimming and playing computer games (I have to stay on top of the games, so I can play with the kids). I love vacationing on Cape Cod, or heading out to sea on one of our Hitmakers Cruises to the Caribbean. Want to know more....feel free to ask!
About John
I was born in Troy, NY (the same hospital that Jaime was was born in as a matter of fact)! I grew up in Waterford, which is where I live today with my wife, Kathleen, my cat Doobie and a HUGE mortgage payment! I've been with WTRY since 1974 when the station was located at 92 Fourth Street in Troy. Since then, I've had a passion for the hits of the 50's, 60's & 70's, and to this day, I still maintain a large collection of vinyl (45's and LP's) and CD's. Growing up in the 60's, listening to WTRY definitely prepared me for what I do now!
I can't think of a better job or a better place to be. WTRY is my home, and I hope you enjoy listening everyday! |

Listen Monday morning as we speak with Dancing With the Stars Rocco DiSpirito. He got a reprieve last week, but will he last this week? We'll find out what Rocco has to say about that and what's happening behind the scenes at DWTS on Monday morning!! Feeling stressed, irritable and fatigued? Blame the economy! Data from the American Psychological Association show 84 percent of women and 75 percent of men are stressed out about the economy.
Oh no, even Archie and the gang have been "Hollywood-ized!" Archie comics will get a visit from a couple of pop tarts later this fall, when "Betty" and "Veronica" travel to L-A and hang out with "Jessica Simmers" and "Britney Spearmint."

Cher, battling an upper respiratory problem, canceled her shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the second weekend in a row -- and will not perform for the remainder of 2008. The Las Vegas Sun reports that the singer is suffering from "asthma-related bronchitis." It adds that the dry desert air of Las Vegas has only complicated the situation as Cher commuted between her beachfront home in Malibu outside L-A and the casino resort. The singer's publicist calls the condition "Vegas throat," and denies that Cher is suffering from abdominal or stomach problems -- or that the cancellation is tied to her recent break-up with 38-year-old boyfriend Tim Medvetz. Caesars is offering refunds or tickets to a rescheduled show next year.

Word has it that JOHN MCCAIN is trying to patch things up with DAVID LETTERMAN . . . by rescheduling his appearance on "The Late Show". Nothing is official yet . . . but supposedly, they're trying to make it happen while McCain is in New York next week, for his final presidential debate with BARACK OBAMA.
"Desperate Housewives'" Wisteria Lane is becoming a pretty dangerous place to live . . . especially during the November "sweeps" period. Last year, it was a TORNADO . . . and sometime THIS November, a devastating NIGHTCLUB FIRE will break out. Word has it that not everyone will survive the fire . . . but naturally, they're not saying who will DIE. CO WORKERS WHO MAKE YOU CRAZY! Do you have a jerk co-worker who you just can't seem to get along with? If so, you're not alone . . . According to a recent survey, 85% of Americans say they've experienced conflict with a co-worker . . . and, on average, employees spend 2.8 hours a week (--or about 7% of their workweek) dealing with their difficult co-workers. Overall, workplace conflict caused employers to lose $359 BILLION last year alone. And get this . . . ONE in FOUR employees say workplace conflict has caused them to become sick and miss work . . . while ONE in THREE say they've been physically attacked or injured by a co-worker.
Davy Jones is the subject of an upcoming episode of Biography. The British member of The Monkees tells us the time is right for such a documentary -- 2009 will mark his 50th anniversary in show business. The hour will touch on his career on stage, rock and roll fame and the horses he trains. It will also introduce us to his children. Though filming recently wrapped up, Davy doesn't know yet when the episode will debut on the BIO channel. Here's tomorrow's Price Chopper Market Cafe Meal of the Day: Fried Haddock or Tilapia Dinner for just $5.99. Listen tomorrow morning to win a $25 gift certificate to the Market Cafe at the Westgate Price Chopper in Albany.
Here's the clue for Friday's Boob Tube contest: Click Here . Listen tomorrow morning at 7:15 for your chance to win tickets to see Defending the Caveman at Proctors Theatre!

Rocco DiSpirito's goosed was cooked on last night's Dancing With the Stars, but a ruptured Achilles tendon pulled him out of the fire. With Misty May-Treanor out of the competition with a foot injury, the T-V chef -- who would have gone home based on the judges' scores and viewer votes -- will get to hit the dance floor for at least one more week. Rocco had the second-worst score (20) on Monday night. Judge Bruno Tonioli described Rocco's routine by saying, "The Viennese waltz is like a light mousse. But [yours] was a bit of a lump of mash potatoes." The remaining nine contestants are DiSpirito, Brooke Burke, Toni Braxton, Cloris Leachman, Cody Linley, Susan Lucci, Warren Sapp, Maurice Greene and Lance Bass.
More of Hollywood’s greatest mysteries are about to be solved on the second season of TV Land’s series, Myths and Legends. The season kicks off Oct. 8 and explores shocking rumors about celebs like Ozzy Osbourne, James Dean, Jennifer Lopez, Marilyn Monroe, and William Shatner that have made headlines over the years. It’ll answer questions like: Did Ozzy Osbourne really bite the head off a live bat during a concert? Did J.Lo really insure her butt for one billion dollars? Was TV’s beloved horse, Mr. Ed, actually played by a zebra?

Now that TINA FEY'S (hilarious) impersonation of SARAH PALIN on "Saturday Night Live" is such a hit . . . you might be wondering if Sarah would ever consider fighting back. Well . . . she might. The "Chicago Sun-Times" is reporting that Sarah might do a skit on "SNL" making fun of Tina's American Express commercials. Whether that's going to happen or not is still up in the air. (--Here's one of Tina's Am-Ex ads . . .) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGcZwfBbXU0 In case you forgot, beginning this week, "Saturday Night Live" will air additional "episodes" of "Weekend Update" on THURSDAY nights at 9:30 P.M. There will be three Thursday episodes this month, leading up to the election.
Not feeling creative? Get away from your computer. A Dutch psychologist suggests paper and pencil boosts learning and creative problem solving much more than computers do. Or just get up and walk away and do something else, like sing KARAOKE!!! We'll see you tonight at Maggies!!
